CO-FEST 2011

Cofest 2011 brought together some one hundred “concerned” professionals from all disciplines and sectors at the Hotel La Mola in Terrassa (Barcelona). The aim of the event was to share experiences and anticipate future changes in their companies or organisations, as well as their working environments.

The day began with a presentation by Alfons Cornella, founder of Infonomía. Under the title “The Coming World”, he explained with examples how the complexity of today’s world involves finding new forms of innovation, management or collaboration between creators, producers and customers.

We are currently moving from a competition-based to a collaboration-based economy and it is impossible to compete in a complex system without collaboration. But productive collaboration requires trust, tools and techniques.

Wit this aim in mind, the attendees participated in various workshops that raised questions about the active and passive elements of their respective organisations. This combination of inputs and outputs that can be offered by each company forms the basis of co-society, where all members learn from each of them, even if they are different sector companies that would never have crossed professional paths before.

Finally, the philosopher and writer Enrique Gil Calvo re-examined the dominant ideas of the late 20th century and showed how these had been challenged and many overturned over the last ten years.
