Lékué & Escribà: a perfect recipe for coinnovation (and for desserts too)

Lékué is an internationally prestigious brand present in over 40 countries. Its products for cooking have revolutionised kitchens around the world, making them spaces for new food experiences and unique sensations. Lékué products popularity rely on a perfect recipe mixing  fun and practical, design and functionality. To achieve this kind of ongoing success, Lékué is able to access some of the best designers in the world. Why then ask for ideas to a local confectioner?

Thinking on co-branding should not just be limited to considering two companies coinnovating together. Adding to the formula the presence and benefits of a personal brand could be also a good idea, being a proper element in a recipe for a successful coinnovation.

Lékué by Escribà is a Lékué products collection born from the collaboration with Christian Escribà, a member of the fourth generation of a family of pastry chefs and chocolatiers considered a reference on bakery in Barcelona since early 20th century.

Lékué’s designers and Escribà’s personnel shared knowledge, facilities and vision to create a collection of products aimed to give enthusiasm and excitement to the home baking. A mixed team from Lékué and Escribà bakery worked in a series of facilitated workshops for project definition and search for ideas, plus the conceptual development and product design.

The results led to the launch of 3 products based in a new concept of pastry that helps enjoy of the most creative desserts in good company and in a playful way: Pop Kiss, Crazy Skull Game and Surprise Cake Kit.
